Pad Retention

Keeping the friction compound on the pad through repeated heavy braking is no mean feat, which is why we have stopped at no expense to keep our ColdForge pads intact

Maximum Abuse

The track is one of the harshest environments for brake pads, with disc temperatures reaching up to 1000°C and slick tyres and downforce enabling braking forces well past those experienced on the road

Chemical Bonding

High temperature glues have been used for decades to bond friction compounds to the surface of a steel - our pads go a step further. Our surface treatment opens the pad interface, allowing the glue to penetrate both the friction compound and backplate, creating a rock solid bond line

Mechanical Bonding

All glues have a temperature limit, and the track is the place this can be found. That's why we have developed a patented, moulded retention system that mechanically locks the compound to the plate even if the glue should fail

How do we know it works?

Simply put - we try to test it on the dyno and on track until it doesn't anymore. And on our production pad, we haven't been able to get to that point! To read more about our testing process click here
